Terms of Service

Last updated: June 24, 2026

1. The service

Dia Reader ("Dia") is a browser extension, operated by Natural Devs ("we", "us"), that lets you highlight text on web pages and look up its meaning — definitions, context, and plain-language explanations. By installing or using Dia you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract to use Dia. Sign-in is by one-time email code; you are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure.

3. Plans, billing & the free tier

Dia includes a limited number of free lookups. Continued use beyond the free tier requires a paid subscription ("Pro"), billed on a recurring basis. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the merchant of record; your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; see our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Dia, including: attempting to bypass usage limits or billing; reselling or sharing access; using Dia for unlawful, harmful, or abusive content; or overloading, probing, or reverse-engineering the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or generate abusive load.

5. Explanations

Explanations and definitions provided by Dia may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for evaluating them before relying on them. Dia is provided for general reading and reference purposes and is not a substitute for professional advice.

6. Intellectual property

Dia and its content are owned by us or our licensors. You retain rights to the text you submit; you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the service.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using Dia at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or to comply with law. On termination, your right to use the service ends.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
